OPI Anti-Bleak is from the brand new Mariah Carey themed collection that also introduces the Liquid Sand finish. I picked up the black liquid sand (Stay the Night) and will review it at a later date. I was planning on getting the copper colored Sprung, but after seeing it I realized it wouldn't look too good on my skin tone. This color, Anti-Bleak, is more "me". Although it is a been-there, done-that type of color, I love it anyway. It's reminiscent of Casino Royale from the Skyfall collection, but this isn't as dark. Application was very nice, and it could have been a 2 coater, but I used 3 to even out a small amount of cuticle drag on a few nails. It's a nice palate cleanser after all the Christmas reds lately. If you are a creme lover like me, you'll love to have this one! Enjoy - >^..^<

Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers
Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers is a classic! A sheer black jelly base with suspended red glitter of varying sizes, it was a pioneer in it's category when it was released initially a few years ago. Application was nice, as with most Lippmann's (one of may favorite brands), not too thick or thin, although due to the jelly nature it thins at the tip of the nail and looks like tip wear. Glitter placement wasn't too much of an issue, as it can be sometimes with heavily glittered polishes. I don't reach for this too often, but whenever I do I wonder why I waited so long! China Glaze Party Hearty over White Kwik Silvr
ChG Party Hearty over White Kwik Silvr (over a coat of Ooh La La White Pearl) was my Christmas mani this year (and many others have used PH as well). I used one coat of ChG Ooh La La White Pearl, 2 coats of White Kwik Silvr, and dabbed on Party Hearty (as opposed to sponging... I was lazy and didn't want to wait for the whites to dry). I think it turned out ok - looks like snow with Christmas glitters. I think it would have looked better had I sponged it, but oh well. Application on the whites was great, but my PH was a bit thick - looks like a bit has evaporated over time, but it was still usable for this experiment without having to thin it. Merry Christmas! >^..^<

China Glaze Ring in the Red
ChG Ring in the Red is the perfect red glitter in my opinion (even better than Ruby Pumps... I know, I know... sacrilege...). But I love this one! It's a neutral red with different sizes of shiny red glitter, sporting both very small squares and larger hexagons as you can see in some of the pics. Even though the sun decided not to come out today, I am loving this one under the indoor lights and Christmas lights here at home. Application was great, flowing very nicely and with no bleeding of the glitter into the cuticle line. The red jelly base is chock full of glitter, and is beautiful and rich at 3 coats as seen here. Topped with Gelous and SV, there has been no tip wear or chipping. If you don't have this one, you need to find it! Merry Christmas, everyone! >^..^<
Nicole Orna-ment for Each Other
Nicole Orna-ment for Each Other is from the holiday 2011 collection if I recall correctly. It's a warm toned red glitter with gold mixed in, giving it an orangey red appearance. The glitter particles are quite small, which lent itself to a nice application for a glitter. It was a tad thick, but I think mine has evaporated a little, but it wasn't so thick that I needed to thin it before use, and despite that, it flowed nicely, with very little bleeding of glitter particles onto the cuticle line. Topped with Gelous and SV it wore very well with no tip wear or chipping. Unfortunately the sun didn't come out that day, so all the pics are with cloudy skies, or under tungsten lights, which I tried to color correct for. A definite must have for holiday glitter lovers (and I saw a bunch at Five Below recently, so it's still out there). Enjoy! >^..^<
China Glaze Champagne Kisses
ChG Champagne Kisses is a lovely glitter from this year's holiday collection. I really wanted to enjoy this one in the sun, but alas, it didn't come out as it was predicted to until later in the day. But still - it's a lovely polish. Appropriately named, the color is a perfect champagne tone, and looked good on my skin tone without giving me lobster hands as some polishes in this vein sometimes do. Application was nice for a glitter - smooth texture, flowed nicely and stayed where I wanted it to without too much crawling of glitter into my cuticles, and was opaque at 3 coats (although I could have done with two). Topped with Gelous and SV, wear was excellent with no signs of tip wear or chipping. Sorry the picture tone is off in the last few pics, as it was late in the day when the sun finally came out. Enjoy! >^..^<
