Wet n Wild Ferguson Crest Syrah

Wet n Wild Ferguson Crest Syrah is a beautiful color I picked up recently at the drug store.  It's a deep, almost vampy purple with red undertones; not quite wine, definitely more purple.  Application was a little challenging as the brush is a mess - it was frayed and splayed all over, was very moppy, and it was hard to control where it went.  But the polish itself was actually nice - smooth even consistency, good pigmentation, and the sparkles show up well.  I used a coat of Gelous and then SV for this one, as I wanted the sparkles to be as prominent as possible.  So far wear has been very good on it - I'm impressed for it being a WnW, which I don't usually have good luck with.  Not terribly unique, but very pretty if you are into shades like this!  Enjoy -     >^..^<

Layla CE 65

Layla CE 65 is a beautiful vibrant pink/purple with a blue flash.  I wouldn't say it is terribly unique, as it reminds me of OPI Pompeii Purple, ChG Reggae to Riches, etc, but it's pretty none-the-less.  There are beautiful blue sparkles in the bottle which give more of a hue to the finish on the nail rather than a true distinct particular look.  Application was good - for the price per volume, it better be! - even and not streaky, easy to control, and built nicely in opacity.  I liked the end effect, but I felt like I've seen this color before, and I was disappointed I didn't see more of the actual sparkles from the bottle translate to the nail.  Very pretty for spring!  Enjoy -     >^..^<

Zoya Chyna

Zoya Chyna is another color from the first Pixie Dust collection.  It's a beautiful ruby red with red glitter, which is similar in idea to ChG Ruby Pumps in the bottle, but dries matte with the red glitter peeking through.  I've had problems with these Pixie Dusts drying, so I did a Poshe sandwich here - I applied 2 coats of Chyna, then a coat of Poshe, then 2 more coats of Chyna, and dry time was much improved.  The only down side of this that I see is that it doesn't dry as matte as it did when I swatched it on a nail wheel, which disappoints me, but I don't know if that is directly related to the Poshe.  Application was great - very easy to control, nice brush, nicely pigmented, but I did notice I needed to shake the bottle before use as the glitter seems to want to settle at the bottom of the bottle.  A nice classic color - with a twist!  Enjoy -     >^..^<
