Zoya Mieko

Zoya Mieko is a color I picked up in the last Zoya promo.  It is a red toned coral; not quite either coral or red, with beautiful gold shimmer.  Application was very nice - smooth formula, nice brush, easy to control, no streaking, and built nicely in opacity.  The color is interesting - as I said, not quite your typical coral... it looks like a muted orangey red in the bottle, and on the nail maintains it's slightly muted appearance.  The gold shimmer is beautiful in the sun, nice and sparkly, and in indirect light the shimmer gives it a somewhat granular look.  It's very pretty - I'm sure I'll reach for it again this summer!  Enjoy -     >^..^<

Lippmann Good Girl Gone Bad

Lippmann Good Girl Gone Bad is one of the most beautiful polishes ever made.  It is a gorgeous sparkly grape color; a purple (leaning red) base with intense microglitter sparkle.  Application was great - nice formula, great brush, no streaking, and built nicely in opacity in just 2 coats.  It does want to dry a bit matte and with some texture, so I used a coat of Gelous before applying Poshe.  I adore this color, and thought it would be great to celebrate my birthday with!  Enjoy -      >^..^<

SALE - rare &/or htf polishes added

Welcome!  I've decided to clear out some high end and / or htf polishes.  Some of these are very rare.  Fill lines are marked if the bottle is not full.  All items were purchased by me, either new or via eBay, a dusty, or a blog sale.  Some bottles have not even been opened since I acquired them!.   :)

Since these polishes are rare and valuable, I will package them securely, in a box if either you or I decide it is prudent to do so.  Therefore, I will weigh each purchase and get you a shipping quote based on your zip code.  US to US only at this time; Paypal only.

I also still have a ton of polishes available from my last blog sale, so feel free to peruse them as well.

Thank you - now on to the goodies!

Essie Under the Twilight, alone and under Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Max Factor Fantasy Fire over Essie Under the Twilight is a match made in heaven.  UtT is a new color from Essie this spring.  It's a deep indigo blurple creme, and I've heard it called near-black, but I have to disagree and say I can still tell it's blue in all lighting.  Application was good - the formula was very nice and creamy and was a ONE COATER.  Can you believe that?  It was a little difficult to control around the cuticle, but that's a small price to pay for such a dreamy creme.  I've had Fantasy Fire for a while now and haven't used it, but I thought this would be a good combo, as the base color of FF is close to UtT.  FF has a strong resemblance to the iconic Clarins 230, with a crazy sparkly copper shimmer that duochromes to green.  I love this combo, and I expect to have it on for a few days.  Enjoy -     >^..^<

OPI Red Hot Rio

OPI Red Hot Rio is a gorgeous red crelly from the new Spring 2014 Brazil collection.  Application was dreamy - a wonderful jelly formula that went on without a streak, but built nicely in opacity (I used 3 coats here).  In the direct sunlight shots you can appreciate the squishiness factor; in indirect lights it looks more like a red creme.  I'm a huge fan of a good red creme, and this one does not disappoint - and love the name!  Enjoy -     >^..^<

FP Sparkle in the Sky

FP Sparkle in the Sky is a textured navy blue polish that I think is part of the newly revamped core line at Sally.  It is very similar to OPI's Alcatraz... Rocks, so unless you are are extremely picky like me, you don't need both.  SitS is a muted navy denim colored matte base with light green and pink glitter.  Application was great, as with most textured polishes I've used - no problems there.  This is 2 coats, and unlike other new FP, the brush on this one wasn't too bad.  I'm really liking this one - as are my kids! - and it's wearing like iron, so I think I'll keep it on a day longer.  Enjoy -     >^..^<

Photobucket isn't cooperating today, so these are direct uploads from my computer.  When I do it this way all the pics get washed out - so imagine them a bit darker and deeper.  My apologies.

FP Palette of Perfection

FP Palette of Perfection is a new core color form the Sally house brand.  It is a beautiful rust red with intense gold shimmer.  Application was good - the polish formula is nice, but any issues I had seemed to be with the brush (which I have experienced with every new polish they've released with the revamped brushes).  I did get a little cuticle drag, and it wasn't as easy as some polishes to control around the cuticle, but I really think it's the brush and not the polish itself.  It wasn't too streaky and was completely opaque in just 2 coats.  It's a gorgeous color, albeit a bit autumnal in tone, and the gold shimmer is insane.  Overall I have to give FP a thumb up for their new colors (just fix that brush!).  Enjoy -     >^..^<

OPI Step Right Up

OPI Step Right Up is from the spring 2011 Softshades collection.  It is a beautiful milky pink white creme.  It was a bit streaky on application, so it took 4 coats to get it all to even out, and by then there was no vnl left it was so opaque.  I don't wear shades like this very often, but they are nice palate cleansers, and this one is one of my favorites!  Enjoy -     >^..^<

OPI Next Stop... The Bikini Zone

OPI Next Stop... The Bikini Zone is from the new spring 2014 Brazil collection.  It is an interesting color - kind of a lavender with a pink tone and a slight duochrome effect with silver sparkles.  Application was nice - the first coat was a little sheer but it built nicely in opacity with no cuticle drag and minimal streaking, was easy to control, and there were no problems with the formula.  It's definitely more of a spring color, and I think it will fit the bill perfectly in about April!  Enjoy -     >^..^<
